Valdez Named APD of WOW Factor/Phoenix

• Desert Valley Media Group announced the promotion of Eric Valdez to Assistant Program Director of KOAI (95.1 & 94.9 The WOW Factor)/Phoenix. He will retain his existing duties as Production Director for the cluster.

Valdez (pictured) is a 30-year radio pro who has worked in San Francisco, Sacramento, Tucson, and for the last 20 years, Phoenix. He now joins legendary programmer John Sebastian in an effort to reach new heights in the Phoenix market with The WOW Factor, described as “a truly unique radio concept, combining the best-testing records from every format for the last 60 years aimed at bringing the wealthiest generation, Baby Boomers, back to radio.” Or, as Sebastian described the format to RAMP, “It’s a whole ‘nother animal!”
