‘War Of The Roses’ Brought To Animated Life
Hosted by show creator (and WKTU morning personality) Sean “Hollywood” Hamilton and his co-host Marie, War of the Roses brings real radio episodes to life through edgy, stylized animation. As the release states, “The series transforms true stories of cheating, betrayal and emotional fallout into short-form, raw and often darkly funny visual episodes. It’s relationship drama like you’ve never seen — blending comedy, suspense and emotional depth in a way only animation can.”
“I’ve been developing this for a long time, and it’s finally here,” said Hamilton, host of the original radio show and executive producer of the animated series. “This show lets you feel the drama all around you — inspired by true stories, brought to life in a whole new way.”
War of the Roses is the first animated series to feature a spatial audio mix powered by Eclipsa Audio — Google’s open-source spatial platform designed for immersive streaming. Developed in collaboration with industry-leading sound house Vaudeville, the experience delivers 360-degree soundscapes optimized for headphones and spatially aware smart devices.
The show’s soundtrack also features a powerful blend of indie artists and globally recognized names including Sophie Powers, Peter DiStefano (Porno for Pyros), Dave Krusen (Pearl Jam), Artikal Sound System, Cas Haley, Derwood Andrews (Generation X), Lisa Dunn, The Tiger Lillies, Flynn and Kemo the Blaxican(Delinquent Habits).
War Of The Roses is produced by ABoot Studios of North Bay, Ontario, which is partnering with Canadore College, tapping student interns and recent grads from their media and game development programs to contribute to the production — blending world-class content with local talent development.
