What In The Sam Hill????
• Those Entercom cutbacks just keep coming — and the latest casualty is a longtime friend of the RAMP family — Sam Hill, PD of Entercom Classic Rock KQMT (99.5 The Mountain) and APD/MD of Hot AC KALC (Alice 105.9)/Denver, who has exited after 14 years as her position is eliminated. Her husband, Entercom National Production Director Matt Haeger remains with the company.
In a statement, Hill said, “It was a great run. I’m looking forward to spending some more quality time with my family and eventually tackling my next adventure!”
Hill arrived in Denver in 2005 as APD/MD and midday personality for Alice @ 105.9. She was awarded PD stripes for KQMT in March 2011. In May 2018 Hill unplugged from the Alice midday show — retaining her APD/MD stripes — to focus her fulltime attention on The Mountain. Earlier in her career Hill programmed KCDA/Spokane.
