White Named Chief Of Staff/OM, SummitMedia Birmingham
White began his radio career as an intern in Tuscaloosa in 1993, and was named WBHJ’s first overnight talent when the station launched in 1996. He has also been a program director, promotions and marketing director and web producer. Under his leadership, White led four stations to consistently claim the Top 4 spots in Nielsen rankings in the Birmingham market.
“Kori is an invaluable part of the amazing staff of the Birmingham stations. He is constantly evolving and innovating to ensure we continue to dominate,” said John Walker, SummitMedia CRO. “Kori’s connection to the community, along with his love and passion for these stations, makes him the perfect fit. We are fortunate to have him in this new role.”
White remarked, “It’s rare that you have an opportunity to grow your role in an organization that allows you to attain your professional goals and simultaneously do something that you’re passionate about. The last few years have shown a lot of uncertainty in many facets of our lives, but I’m fortunate to work with a company and team that are willing to put resources behind their commitment to those they have a privilege to serve.”
White is a graduate of the University of Alabama and has been heavily involved in the community over the years serving and volunteering for many organizations, including The Literacy Council, the Red Cross, Head Start, Habitat for Humanity, HERO, Crossroads and others.
