Whiteside Comes Home To Raleigh
Rob Whiteside has been named Digital Program Director for iHeartMedia’s Virginia/Carolina Region, effective immediately. Whiteside will be based in Raleigh and be responsible for growing digital resources and reach for the Region’s 54 radio station brands as well as day-to-day digital programming for the Raleigh market. “We’re thrilled to bring someone with Rob’s vast expertise to our Region,” said Dave Carwile, President of iHeartMedia’s Virginia/Carolina Region. “We’re really looking forward to Rob maximizing our digital resources, growing our digital reach and creating forward thinking strategies within our digital department.”

Whiteside transfers from iHeartMedia’s Central Division, where he was the Digital Operations Director for 55 markets. This move also marks a homecoming for Whiteside, who previously served as Digital Operations Director — Regional Markets and Director of Internet Marketing & Promotions and Promotions Director for iHeartMedia Raleigh. Earlier stops include National Sales Coordinator/Graphic Designer for Capstar Broadcasting and Director of Operations for SFX Radio. “I’m really excited to return to where I got my start,” said Whiteside. “I grew up in Richmond, went to school in the Carolinas and have been proud to call Raleigh home for more than two decades. We have some amazing brands across the Virginia/Carolina Region, and I’m looking forward to working with all of them to help continue the growth for our digital channels.”
