WIRK Now On Cruise Control
• Looks like Bruce Logan is settling in nicely in his new office as OM/Brand Content Director for Hubbard Radio West Palm Beach, as he checks in to announce the promotion of afternoon talent Sammy Cruise to APD/MD for WIRK (New Country 103.1).
The upgrade marks a return to the programming department for Cruise, who originally joined WIRK as APD/MD/midday personality in May of 2009, transitioning from the PD post at Clear Channel Hot AC WCTQ/Sarasota, FL. Cruise was upped to PD of WIRK in Sept. 2012 and relinquished those stripes in February of this year to focus on his afternoon shift.
“I am thrilled to have Sammy on the team,” Logan remarked. “His brand knowledge of WIRK, his talent as an air personality and his relationships with artists, artist managers and label friends is second-to-none. Sammy has been invaluable to me as we work to build New Country 103-1 into South Florida’s Home for New Country.” Sammy will take music calls from our Nashville partners Tuesdays from 10am-Noon.
