Wize Move For iHeart Tucson

• Major market vet Nick Wize is headed to iHeartMedia Tucson as Assistant Program Director for Top 40 KRQQ, Rhythmic KOHT (Hot 98.3) & Hot AC KMIY (My 92.9), effective June 11. Wize will also take over afternoon drive on KRQQ. The move marks a return to the iHeartMedia family for Wize, who was mostly recently APD/MD/afternoon talent on WKQI (Channel 95.5)/Detroit until February of this year. His previous stops include the former WNOW (92.3 Now)/New York, WKSL/Jacksonville and WPFM/Panama City, FL.

Wize will report to David Adams, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Tucson, who said, “Adding someone of Nick’s caliber to the already strong KRQ lineup is like winning the lottery! Nick will be an extremely valuable addition to the team; both on and off the air.” Wize said, “I’m excited to sell my snow-blower and join the amazing team at iHeartMedia Tucson! • Concurrent with Wize’s arrival, KRQQ & KOHT PD D-Wayne Chavez (left) will move from afternoons on KRQ back over to afternoon drive on KOHT as Suzette Rodriguez (right) shifts from afternoons into the Hot 98.3 midday slot.
