WMSC Ready For WCRD
• As Planet Earth makes final preparations for the 13th annual World College Radio Day (WCRD) on Friday, October 6, our friends at Montclair State University’s WMSC-FM, one of 32 participating college radio stations worldwide, announced its ambitious schedule of 35 hours of special programming that kicks off Thursday, Oct. 5 at 1pm with “It’s Called Soccer,” and ends at midnight ET on Saturday, Oct. 7 after the Live Senior Send Off. In between you can enjoy exclusive interviews with Måneskin, Big Time Rush, Juanes, Gale, and Bernie Wagenblast, seven live in-studio performances, and fan favorite “Golf Cart Karaoke (weather permitting).
“The beauty of this year’s theme (‘Where All Voices Are Welcome’) is that it resonates with our Montclair and WMSC diverse community, where truly all voices are welcome,” says Anabella Poland, General Manager of WMSC-FM. “Different perspectives working as a unit is like mosaic art, each piece contributing a vital and innovative element to the whole.”
As always, University President Dr. Jonathan Koppell will reanimate his seriously funky alter ego, “Dr. K,” who returns to WMSC to spin funk music on vinyl as part of Dr. K’s Vinyl Fantas Funhouse.
