Wolf Named MD At 88Nine Radio Milwaukee
• Triple A WYMS (88Nine Radio Milwaukee) has named market veteran Erin Wolf as its new Music Director. In her new position, Wolf will be responsible for maintaining the music library and managing the music scheduling for 88Nine and 414Music.FM. Wolf will also coordinate Studio Milwaukee Sessions, arrange artist interviews, create original music-driven content and more. Beginning in August, Wolf will also host her own specialty show on Sunday evenings and fill in for other hosts, as needed.
Wolf joins Radio Milwaukee after 17 years at crosstown non-comm 91.7 WMSE, owned by the Milwaukee School of Engineering, most recently serving as Music Director and host of the station’s weekly local music show, Local/Live.
“Erin’s experience with and passion for public radio is unmatched in this city,” said 88Nine Program Director Dori Zori. “She brings an enthusiasm for new music and a deep appreciation for our Milwaukee music scene that will both be incredible assets to our organization and our listeners.” Wolf commented, “I very much look forward to continuing my adventures in radio, exploring and scouting for new musical gems to share with the Milwaukee community and beyond. I also look forward to sharing the in-depth interviews and one-of-a-kind studio sessions that Radio Milwaukee has become known for over the past 15 years.”
