Woody & Jim Back On Nashville Radio
• After dropping hints of their imminent return, Nashville radio vets Woody and Jim formally announced they will be back on the air on Monday, July 22 at 5am on their new home, Cromwell Media’s rebranded Classic Hits WQZQ (93.3FM — Totally Hits/Totally Nashville).
Woody Wood (left) & Jim Chandler (right) have been a staple in the lives of Nashville radio listeners for over 25 years, until May 19, 2023, when they exited iHeartMedia Top 40 WRVW (107.5 The River). Now, after a one-year hiatus, their return marks a new chapter for Nashville radio.
“We are beyond excited to have Woody & Jim join our team,” said GM Shawn Fort. “Their ability to not only entertain but connect and give back to the community perfectly aligns with our motto at Cromwell Media of ‘making a difference where you are.’ After our first meeting with them we knew we had to make this happen. Woody & Jim are back, and they found the perfect home.”
Chris Atticus, Director of Music Programming, added “Their chemistry and connection with the community is unparalleled, and we can’t wait for them to bring their energy and fun back to Nashville radio.”
Woody & Jim remarked, “For over a year many have been asking where they are, and now the mystery is finally solved. We’ve missed our listeners and are excited to reconnect with them. We’re ready to bring back the fun and make mornings something to look forward to.”
Listen to Woody & Jim on 93.3FM, WBUZ-HD4, WPRT-HD4 and 95.1FM in Murfreesboro. “We are glad that Middle Tennessee can hear Woody & Jim once again on all of these platforms,” said Bayard “Bud” Walters, President of Cromwell. “We look forward to growing together. Welcome back!”
