WRNR: Back & Badass!

As RAMP recently reported, longtime co-owner Steve Kingston recently sold his interest in the station to his business partner Kirk Litton, as Kingston turns his focus onto his new family-run cannabis dispensary, “Kush Connection” in Montclair, NJ. Replacing Kingston as Litton’s partner in Cortona Media is none other than veteran programmer and consultant Jay Stevens, no stranger to the DC/Baltimore media market, thanks to his lengthy experience as VP of Programming for CBS Radio (and PD of WPGC/DC), and a 12-year stint as SVP of Programming Content for Urban One.
Stevens said, “My dream has always been to own a radio station, and I appreciate Kirk offering me this opportunity. I still believe in live and local radio, and now have my chance with the legendary, highly respected WRNR.”
And there’s more — effective Tuesday, Nov. 11, former WHFS and WRNR personalities Dave Z (Ziemer) and Neci return to 93.5 WRNR — Dave Z will be live from 7am to noon, and Neci from 2-7pm weekdays. Stevens added, “We’re excited to have Dave and Neci be our first official on air personalities at 93.5 WRNR. Their love for the music and the community oozes through the speakers… let’s go!”
WRNR can be heard at 93.5fm, 810am, and WRNR.com, and via TuneIn and Live 365. You can contact Jay and Kirk at 410-263-3000, or email them at Jay.Stevens@WRNR.com and Kirk.Litton@WRNR.com.
