Y108 Pairs Berger & Gorecki In AM Drive
• Audacy Country WDSY (Y108)/Pittsburgh has unveiled its new morning show — the newly minted team of Cale Berger and Amanda Gorecki will be heard weekdays from 6-10am ET. Both are Pittsburgh natives and both are already known quantities in the building.
Berger has been with Audacy Pittsburgh seven years as a Producer, on-air personality and Director of Social Media, helping to earn KDKA News Radio a Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters Award for outstanding digital presence. The 2021 recipient of the Media Association of Pittsburgh’s “Rising Star Award,” Berger will continue covering football and men’s basketball on the Pitt Panthers Radio Network alongside this new role. Gorecki has been with Audacy Pittsburgh since 2017, primarily doing sales.
Michael Spacciapolli, SVP/Market Manager, Audacy Pittsburgh, commented, “As native Pittsburghers, Cale and Amanda will connect with our local listeners on many levels, and their passionate energy should allow them to be one of the next great morning shows in the city.”
Berger remarked, “I am beyond appreciative of this opportunity with Y108. Pittsburgh is incredible and home to some of America’s best Country music fans. I was raised on Country radio and could not be more excited to join Amanda on this adventure.” No less excited is Gorecki, who noted, “As a lifelong Pittsburgher, I’m thrilled to transition to this new role as I officially join the Y108 family and engage directly with our listeners. I love Country music and this community, and I can’t wait to partner with Cale to kick-start your mornings!”
Berger and Gorecki replace the syndicated Broadway & Friends morning show, which departed the station in mid-February.
