Zann Fredlund Named PD, KDMX/Dallas

• iHeartMedia has named company veteran Zann Fredlund as Program Director for Hot AC KDMX (The New MIX 102.9)/Dallas, effective immediately. She will retain her existing role as PD of Top 40 sister KHFI/Austin.

Fredlund reports to Marc Sherman, EVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Texas/Louisiana, who said, “Zann’s passion, creativity and deep understanding of our audience makes her the perfect fit for this role. Her proven leadership and innovative approach will undoubtedly drive the station’s success to new heights.”

Zann landed in Texas in January 2024 as PD of KHFI and now former Top 40 KXXM (96.1 NOW)/San Antonio, earning the transfer from iHeartMedia Seattle, where she was APD/afternoon talent at Top 40 KBKS (HITS 106.1). A graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia, Zann began her radio career as Executive Producer of Chio and Shila in the Morning on the former WRDW (Wired 96.5)/Philadelphia. She went on to do afternoon drive at the late WNOW (92.3 Now FM)/New York and middays at former Cumulus Top 40 KLIF (Hot 93.3)/Dallas before arriving in Seattle in May 2018.

“This is an incredible opportunity to lead such an iconic brand and team in Dallas,” said Fredlund. “I’m super excited to expand my role with the Texas region and continue my work at iHeartMedia.” As PD of KDMX, Fredlund succeeds Jay Shannon, who exited in early January.
