Zann & Mayhem Reign At Kiss/Seattle
• There’s been a flurry of activity today in the lobby of iHeartMedia Top 40 KBKS (106.1 Kiss FM)/Seattle as the station welcomes two new family members — major market vet Zann arrives as Kiss FM’s new afternoon drive personality, and Zach “Mayhem” Wellsandt joins as APD/MD and midday talent.
Ms. Zann spent the past three years in Dallas doing middays for Cumulus Top 40 KLIF (Hot 93.3) until late March. She also lent her vocal skills to Westwood One’s Hot AC and Hits Now formats. Earlier in her career Zann did afternoons on the former WNOW (92.3 Now FM)/New York. Before that she was Executive Producer of Chio and Shila in the Morningon WRDW (Wired 96.5)/Philadelphia.
“I feel like this is what it would have felt like had I been asked to prom,” said Zann. “In every market I’ve worked in, iHeartMedia was the company to beat. Thank you to everyone at iHeartMedia’s Pacific Northwest Division for giving me the opportunity to be the one to beat in Seattle!”
• Wellsandt (right) most recently served as Director of CHR for the company’s Central Texas region and PD of KHFI (96.7 Kiss FM) and ALT 97.5/Austin. Wellsandt previously programmed Top 40 WSNX/Grand Rapids, MI, and he started his career in Spokane, WA, programming KEZE (Hot 96.9) from 2011-2014. “I’m absolutely thrilled to get back home to the Pacific Northwest and to help shape the sound of a legendary brand like 106.1 Kiss FM,” said Wellsandt. “I can’t wait to start my morning each day with Bender & Molly, and keep our listeners engaged while they work.”
“We couldn’t be happier to welcome Zann and Zach to Seattle,” said Tim Herbster, Regional SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Pacific Northwest. “Zann’s dynamic personality is always on display with her unique ability to engage and connect with audiences on and off the air. Zach has demonstrated his growth, experience, and passion for brands climbing up the iHeartRadio programmer ladder. He can do it all, and not only meets, but goes beyond listeners’ expectations.”
