WIP/Philly Marks The Spot
• CBS Radio Sports 94WIP/Philadelphia has inked Jon Marks to man the 6-10pm shift, beginning Tuesday, February 7. Marks will also anchor weekday Phillies pre- and post-game coverage and provide content for CBSPhilly.com. He succeeds Brian Haddad, who remains with WIP as Creative Services Director.
Marks started his radio career at WNJC in suburban Washington Township, NJ. He worked at Beasley’s WPEN-AM & FM/Philadelphia from 2006-2016 in various roles, most notably as Mike Missanelli‘s Executive Producer and on-air sidekick from 2008-2012. He later co-hosted WPEN’s first morning show on the FM dial until his contract expired last October. WIP PD Spike Eskin said, “Jon’s talent, relationship to Philadelphia sports fans, and history in the marketplace will be a huge addition to WIP. We’re thrilled to have him aboard.” Marks added, “It’s an exciting time in Philadelphia sports and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be in charge of the airwaves every night on WIP. I’d like to thank Spike and Market Manager David Yadgaroff for this opportunity.”
