32 Years Of Hard Work Pay Off

• After 32 years as a weekend/fill-in personality and specialty show host on Entercom Triple A WXRT/Chicago, Richard Milne is getting his shot — as was initially reported by Chicago media maven Robert Feder, Milne has been elevated to afternoon drive. Jason Thomas, who had been doing the 4-8pm weekday shift since 2006, will shift to weekends/fill-in and continue to host The Big Beat on Monday nights from 10pm-midnight.

“Needless to say, I’m thrilled at the prospect of day-to-day communication with WXRT listeners and working fulltime alongside an air staff that I’ve long considered the best in radio,” said Milne, who started working at WXRT in July 1986. “Many great years are ahead for WXRT and I’m proud to have been asked to play a part.”
