Adam 12 Ready To Rock Boston
• Veteran Boston air personality Adam 12 has been smartly snapped up to do middays on Beasley Media Group Classic Rock WBOS (ROCK 92.9). Mr. 12’s show will air live weekdays from 11am-4pm beginning Monday June 3. Adam 12 is probably best known and loved for his on-air contributions to two dearly departed Boston radio stations: WFNX and WBCN. More recently he has served as an on-air personality, imaging director and social media director at online indie/Alternative station Indie617.com.
“Adam 12 defines ‘The Next Generation of Classic Rock,'” said Ken West, PD of ROCK 92.9, which debuted on April 11, flipping from Alternative. West added, “Adam is a smart and witty local talent who’ll keep ROCK 92.9 listeners entertained with the right balance of music geekery and infotainment throughout the workday!”
Mary Menna, VP/Market Manager of Beasley Boston, said, “Adam 12 is a Boston Rock institution and we are so happy to be able to bring him back to the airwaves on a powerful FM station for all to hear.” Cadillac Jack, Director of Programming for Beasley Boston, remarked, “As we assemble our air staff on the New ROCK 92.9, Adam 12 is a perfect fit. Having been a fan of his for many years, I look forward to many more with us working and building a great brand together.”
Commenting on his new ROCK 92.9 gig, Adam 12 said, “ROCK 92.9 captures so many of the sounds I grew up listening to and playing on the air in Boston. I’m looking forward to getting back on the FM dial and helping Ken West and the team at Beasley make some noise on the airwaves with ROCK 92.9!”
