B-Dub Ready To Ride Seattle’s Bull
• Last week we told you that Bryan “B-Dub” Washington had resigned as APD/MD and afternoon co-host at iHeartMedia Country KWBL (106.7 The Bull)/Denver for a mystery destination TBA. We are now allowed to reveal that B-Dub has returned to the Pacific Northwest as the newly named afternoon drive personality at Hubbard Radio Country KNUC (98.9 The Bull)/Seattle.
Washington had already endeared himself to the market this weekend — as the mysterious masked super-hero named “Captain Smile,” who paid for gas and groceries for grateful Seattle area citizens (pictured below). Enjoy this brief video of the Captain in action. At 7:20am Monday, the good Captain called in to The Bull’s Fitz in the Morning to explain why he came to the rescue of so many families in Washington State.
In what is being termed “an unprecedented decision,” Fitz made an executive pronouncement to give Captain Smile a permanent home on 98.9 The Bull as its new afternoon personality. Scott Mahalick, newly named Operations Manager for Hubbard Radio Seattle exclaimed, “We are lucky to have recruited a remarkable talent with B-Dub and his super power is on air, online and everywhere, entertaining audiences with his quick wit.”
Before landing in Denver two years ago, B-Dub programmed iHeartMedia Country cousin KBEB (92.5 The Bull)/Sacramento. He previously served as APD/MD/afternoon personality on CBS Radio Country KMLE/Phoenix and Alpha Media Country KUPL (98.7 The Bull)/Portland, OR (where he previously worked with Scott Mahalick). He’s also the longtime host of the Superadio-syndicated Buckwild Saturday Night with B-Dub.
Commenting on his exciting new opportunity, Washington said, “I’m beyond excited to get my family back home to the Northwest and join the team at 98-9 The Bull and Hubbard Seattle. Can’t wait to make some great radio with Fitz, Wingnut, and the rest of the crew at The Bull, as well as work with Scott Mahalick again! Amazing things to come!”
