Beasley Charlotte Keeps Growing
• Beasley Media Group Charlotte has certainly been on a hiring tear of late — last week OM Jeff “Uzi D” Anderson announced several new staffers for Urban AC WBAV (V101.9); this week, the attention moves across the hall to Urban WPEG (Power 98), which also completed several significant personnel enhancements — Let’s start with the 7-midnight shift, which has now been filled by Ya Girl Nikki, who is inbound from part-time on sister WZFX (Foxy 99)/Fayetteville, NC. “Nikki’s talent has caught my attention for years!” said Anderson. “I’m totally convinced that Nikki’s impressive work ethic, excellence in production, and outstanding energy will bring a needed boost to Charlotte’s airwaves.”
At the same time, Brian “Mr. Incognito” Robinson moves from afternoons to morning drive as the newest member of The Maddhouse Morning Show. He will retain his MD stripes. “Mr. Incognito has proven himself as a creative and multi-talented team player,” said Anderson. “His addition to the morning team is not only a major move, but he also compliments the team for a thriving future as an elite live and local morning show.”
Mr. Incognito’s former afternoon spot has been filled by John “Sport E. Odie” Adams, already a well-known and highly reputable street presence in the Queen City. “Sport E. Odie brings his impressive work ethic and passion for branding which he has already seen major success with in Charlotte,” said Anderson. “With his infectious energy and work he is already doing in the community, he is more than ready to take our team to new levels of success!”
• And in a related story, WZFX (Foxy 99)/Fayetteville debuts the Premiere-syndicated The Breakfast Club this morning at 5:30am. PD Tap Money says, “The Breakfast Club will be a great addition to our already awesome show line-up. Their branding and dominance on all digital and social media platforms, along with their great reputation for radio content will be ideal for our listeners. We just can’t wait for them to get going!”
