Boston Morning Sky 100% More Blue
Beasley Country WKLB (Country 102.5)/Boston officially welcomes Jackson Blue aboard as its new permanent morning show co-host, plugging in across from Hannah Byrom. It’s not like Blue is “the new guy” or anything — for the past three years he’s been doing afternoon drive down the hall on Rhythmic AC sister WBQT (Hot 96.9), and he’s been covering mornings on WKLB since Jeff Miles left in November. He’s also known and loved for his nine-year run in nights across the street at iHeartMedia’s WXKS (Kiss 108).
Cadillac Jack, Director of Programming for Beasley Boston commented, “I’ve had the pleasure of having a ‘front row seat’ to watch Jackson’s growth over the past 15 years, and feel proud to promote such a talented personality from within our Beasley Boston cluster to this key position. Here’s to the success that Jackson and Country 102.5 will undoubtedly enjoy for years to come!” WKLB PD Mike Brophey added, “We’re so proud to have Jackson Blue on board at Country 102.5. Jackson understands Boston and the listeners. He brings his energy and excitement to the show and he is already a part of our community!”
“It’s been my dream to wake up Boston, a city I’ve loved working in for over a decade,” Jackson said. “A big thank you goes to our Beasley Boston Market Manager, Mary Menna, Director of Programming Cadillac Jack, and Program Director Mike Brophey for believing in me in this role on one of America’s most successful and respected Country brands. My co-host Hannah, Producer Santi and I are ready to make mornings fun!”
