Carriveau Leaving WSHE/Chicago

• Chicago radio fixture Cara Carriveau has resigned as afternoon drive talent on Hubbard AC WSHE (The New SHE 100.3). Her last show is today. “I am so appreciative of all of the wonderful opportunities Hubbard Radio Chicago has given me,” said Carriveau, who has been with WSHE since March 2015. “To have hosted afternoons on WSHE after hosting middays on WTMX, two of the most impressive radio stations in the country, much less Chicago, makes me extremely proud of the past decade in my career. I will deeply miss the amazing people I have worked with for so many years.”

PD Cat Thomas remarked, “Cara will be missed at the New SHE 100.3 and by our listeners. I thank her for all of her hard work, positive attitude and spirit.” Thomas is expected to announce a new afternoon show soon.

• In a Facebook post, Carriveau said, “I’ve been on the air in the Chicago market for 29 years, almost exactly to the day, fortunate to work at the finest stations including WRCX, WLUP, WTMX, WILV, WSHE, WABT & WIIL. To be clear, I am NOT retiring! I’ll have a series of announcements over the next few months as I’m working on a few projects. I’ll let you know where you will be able hear me on the radio in just a couple of weeks…”
