Cat Country Ups Grimaldi & Kelley
• Hall Communications’ Country on WCTK (Cat Country 98.1)/Providence announced two significant on-air moves: 1) Madelyn Grimaldi has been promoted from middays to morning show co-host with Brian Mulhern, and 2) Courtney Kelley is upped from part-time to middays.
Grimaldi (left) has been with WCTK since 2015 working in promotions, social media and on the air, in nights and middays. She succeeds 11-year Cat Country veteran Amanda Leonardo, who went on maternity leave in March and later announced she was retiring from radio to be a fulltime mom. Grimaldi commented, “I’m excited to join Brian and have some fun in the morning. I’m grateful for the opportunity that Hall Communications has given me to grow in the business and as an on-air personality.”
Mulhern said, “Maddie gets it. She has been connecting with our fans since she first came to Cat Country both on the air and through social media. Looks like she’s ready to babysit me in the morning!”
Kelley (right) has been with WCTK since 2013 doing weekends and fill-in. She previously worked elsewhere in Providence and in New London, CT. Kelley commented, “I look forward to being on the air each day building camaraderie with our fans while they are at work.”
Bob Walker, Hall Communications VP of Programming and PD of WCTK said, “Our philosophy is to hire great people and allow them to grow in our company and the industry. Being able to see these two talented personalities take on new challenges is what it’s all about.”
