Changes @ Bonneville Sacramento
• Bonneville Sacramento announced several major personnel moves at AC KYMX (Mix 96) and Hot AC KZZO (Now 100.5) — the movement starts with the departure of Christopher “Kory” Beale and the exit of KZZO midday talent “Vicki Oh” Ochoa, who is returning to the Dallas area to be closer to family.
As we initially reported back in March, Kory had announced that after five years of doing afternoons on Mix 96and tracking nights at Now 100.5, he had planned to step down this summer to pursue new adventures. As Kory explained to RAMP at that time, “I’m currently based in downtown Oakland and have a digital recording space with processing at home, and can produce just about anything. If you need an experienced tracker, spot reads, or production, I would love to talk to you. In the meantime, I’ll still be around weekly on my podcast Theme Park Pulse, fortnightly on my other pod Unpacked, and I plan to continue pursuing audio journalism and storytelling in all its forms.”
In the wake of these two notable departures, Darik Kristofer (above, left) shifts from mornings to afternoons on Mix 96 and will now also assume Vicki Oh’s former midday spot on Now 100.5. Veteran air personality Sheryl Stewart (above, right) will now track the morning show on Mix 96.
Kristofer joined Mix 96 in January 2019, coming off a seven-year stint in afternoons at former Entercom Hot AC WIAD (Fresh 94.7)/Washington. Ms. Stewart was most recently APD/MD/afternoon talent at Entercom Hot AC KRSK (105.1 The Buzz)/Portland, OR until earlier this year. She also covers 6am-noon at Entercom AC KKMJ (Majic 95.5)/Austin.
