Charleston Icon TJ Phillips Returns!

Apex Country WCKN (Kickin’ 92.5)/Charleston, SC has hired Charleston morning radio icon TJ Phillips to co-host morning show with Jessica Chandler — The Lowcountry’s Big Show with Jessica & TJ debuts Monday, Nov. 14. The move allows PD Andy Webb to move off of the wake-up shift and into more PD-friendly afternoon drive show. The big announcement of Phillips’ hire was made on stage last Thursday evening moments before the Old Dominion concert at the Coastal Carolina Fair. Phillips is a 30-year market vet who most recently did mornings on iHeartMedia rival WEZL until earlier this year. “I’m so excited to work with a local broadcaster like Apex and beyond thrilled to be working with Jessica Chandler every morning,” Phillips said, adding, “I’m anxious to get back on the radio again!”
