Car Pool With Chuy & Big Daddy
• Entercom Throwback KRBQ (Q102.1)/San Francisco just announced two new drivetime personalities who are already very familiar to Bay Area radio fans — Chuy Gomez will host mornings from 6-10am and Victor “Big Daddy” Zaragoza will drive you home weekdays from 2-7pm. Both gentlemen start on Monday, April 9.
Gomez (left) is a 30-year Bay Area radio pro whose career highlights include over 20 years in morning drive on KMEL/San Francisco. He has also spent the past 25 years as lead host on California Music Channel (CMC-TV).
Zaragoza is also a 30-year radio vet and Bay Area native. His career highlights includes stops at KMEL, KYLD (Wild 94.9) and KBLX/San Francisco. He has also worked at All-News KCBS-AM/FM and Sports-Talk KGMZ (95.7 The Game).
When contacted by RAMP, Entercom SVP of Programming & Music Initiatives Michael Martin got right to the point when describing his two newest acquisitions, loudly stating, “Legendary Bay Area music delivered by legendary Bay Area voices!”
