Ferrall Rejoining ‘Mightier 1090’/San Diego
• SportsGrid Radio Network, formerly the Fantasy Sports Radio Network, whose partner includes The Elvis Duran Group, is bringing popular Sports-Talk radio personality Scott Ferrall back to the weekday lineup at the relaunched XEPRS (Mightier 1090 AM)/San Diego starting in August. Ferrall, who is part of the Elvis Duran Group’s specialized talent roster, will host Ferrall Coast to Coast live from 1-3pm PT and Ferrall on the Bench, live from 7-9pm PT.
Ferrall commented, “Returning to XEPRS is an amazing opportunity for me to reconnect with my loyal Southern California fans, many of whom have become friends through the years. Sun, fun and sports are my passion and I jumped at the opportunity to work with the Southern California flagship station to create a dynamic experience for our fans. Back in April it was reported that Bill Hagen, the owner of Flagstaff, AZ-based Out The Window Advertising had inked a five-year lease for the broadcast rights for the powerful Baja California-based 1090 signal from its owner, Andres Bichara Assad of Interamericana de Radio in Rosarito, Mexico.
SportsGrid recently announced their agreement to power the relaunch of the legendary station with their advanced cloud-based automation and live production technology platform to stream 1090’s audio feed to millions of listeners in San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles and California’s Central Coast.
