Hellooo, Neuman
• After a national search, Towson University’s Triple A 89.7 WTMD/Baltimore-Washington has hired Carrie Neuman as its new afternoon drive personality, starting Thursday, Aug. 15. Neuman spent the past few years doing middays at Empire Broadcasting System Triple A 103.1 WRNR/Annapolis, MD, where she built a loyal and enthusiastic following.
“Carrie has a lifelong passion for music and she brings to air the excitement and enthusiasm of a fan who can’t wait to share new music discoveries with her friends,” said Scott Mullins, who doubles as GM & PD of WTMD. “She’s energetic, knowledgeable, fun to listen to and will be a great asset to WTMD.”
Neuman will be joining a team of award-winning on-air personalities, including her former WRNR colleague, Alex Cortright, who now does mornings on WTMD, as well as WHFS/Washington legend Jonathon “Weasel” Gilbert, host of Weasel’s Wild Weekend. “I’m more than just thrilled to be coming to Baltimore — it simply feels like the most natural thing for me to do,” Neuman said. “I humbly join a legendary, music-centric staff that prides itself on discovering and sharing an unprecedented array of music and I am honored for the opportunity to work at WTMD. It’s the musical heartbeat of the city I so love.” Mullins added, “We are looking forward to welcoming this talented and experienced DJ to the most adventurous music station on the dial.”
