Indie 102.3/Denver Inks Meyers For Mornings
• Colorado Public Radio announced the hire of Dana Meyers as the new morning host on Triple A KVOQ (Indie 102.3)/Denver, effective Jan. 16. She will succeed Jeremy Peterson, who has left the company after seven years.
“I’m very excited to welcome Dana back to Colorado and to our Indie 102.3 air staff,” said PD Willobee Carlan. “I’ve been a fan of her work for many years. Dana brings extensive programming and on-air experience, and I know Indie 102.3 listeners will give her a warm welcome.”
Meyers is a 23-year radio pro who most recently worked for Times-Shamrock Classic Rock WZBA (100.7 The Bay)/Baltimore as a host and Production Director. The new gig marks a return home for Meyers, who grew up in Boulder, CO and got her radio start at the student-run station at the University of Colorado Boulder. She later interned for the former WHFS/Washington, DC, working her way up to afternoon drive when the station was relaunched in Baltimore. Meyers later did afternoons as member of the inaugural air staff of Audacy Alternative WSFS (104.3 The Shark)/Miami and also did mornings at WXNX/Ft. Myers.
“We are delighted to welcome Dana to Indie 102.3, but at the same time, we are saying goodbye to morning host Jeremy Petersen, who left Colorado during the pandemic,” said Sean Nethery, SVP of Content. “We are grateful to Jeremy for providing terrific hosting from afar during that unprecedented time. Now that things are mostly back to normal, hosts need to be members of the Colorado community, attending events, interviewing musicians in our onsite performance studio and more.”
