• iHeartMedia Classic Rock WBIG (BIG 100)/Washington, DC, the radio flagship of youuuurrrr Washington Commanders welcomes a man known simply as Jaxon as the new host of “BIG. Rock. Mornings,” effective Friday, Oct. 6.
Jaxon will arrive in our Nation’s Capital from our Nation’s Original Capital of Philadelphia, where he spent the past 18 years with Beasley’s heritage Rock 93.3 WMMR, most recently in afternoon drive. Jaxon will report to Dustin Matthews, Director of Rock Programming for iHeartMedia DC, who commented, “I’ve been a Jaxon fan for years, so I’m thrilled to welcome him to the iHeartMedia DC team! And as an avid football fan, he’s the perfect match to join forces with the Washington Commanders. Jaxon brings a unique ability to engage our audience with storytelling and expert analysis about music and sports. I can’t wait for him to rock the Nation’s Capital with us every morning on the mighty BIG 100!”
“I’m beyond thrilled to join the BIG 100 family!” Jaxon exclaimed. “Huge thanks to Brad Hardin, James Howard, Dustin Matthews and Jeff Kapugi for helping me find the perfect spot on iHeart’s roster of stellar talent. I look forward to waking up DC every morning, and I’m super excited about our relationship with the Washington Commanders. This is going to be fun… BIG fun!”
Jaxon succeeds previous co-host Don Geronimo, who left in late July.
