‘Let’s Give Them Something To Talk About…’
• Now that we have successfully implanted that 1991 Bonnie Raitt classic into your skull… here’s some news… Cumulus Media has launched what it describes as its “next-generation Talk programming lineup” on WYAY (The New TALK 106.7)/Atlanta. The new weekday schedule looks like this: Ben Shapiro is on from 5-6am, followed by Shelley Wynter, who joined WYAY seven weeks ago and anchors the 6-9am show.
Shannon Burke remains in the 9am-noon shift, followed by Mike Brooks from noon-3pm. Atlanta radio icon “The Kimmer” is moving from middays to afternoon drive as host of The Kimmer Show, along with Pete Davis and Jim Gossett. Kimmer replaces Brian Joyce, who continues to do afternoons on sister WGOW/Chattanooga, TN. The syndicated Mark Levin Show rolls from 6-9pm.
Sean Shannon, VP/Market Manager of Cumulus Media Atlanta, said, “These moves put The New TALK 106.7 in a position to give our passionate fan base engaging and entertaining opinions all day long.” WYAY PD Tom Lee added, “Our new lineup at WYAY represents the very best in talk show talent and brings a new and unique form of talk entertainment to the city of Atlanta. This talent lineup confirms our commitment to presenting an entertaining and unique dialogue on the issues that affect the lives of our listeners. I could not be more excited about the future of the New TALK 106.7!”
