Louisville’s Eagle Adds Rowe & Maze
• SummitMedia Classic Rock WSFR (107.7 The Eagle)/Louisville has filled both of its drivetime shifts simultaneously, hiring Mike Rowe for mornings and Johnny Maze for afternoons.
Rowe (left) joins SummitMedia from W&B Broadcasting in Elizabethtown, KY, where he was PD/morning personality for now former Country outlet WLVK (Cat Country 105.5). The new gig means a return to Louisville for Rowe, who formerly programmed iHeartMedia’s WNRW (98.9 Kiss FM) & Adult Hits WSDF and did nights on WAMZ and WAKY.
Maze (right) most recently worked for iHeartMedia Huntsville, AL as PD/afternoon talent on Classic Rock WTAK and PD of ALT 92.9 (WQRV-HD3). Maze’s earlier programming stops include Adams Radio Active Rock WZBH & Classic Rock WGBG/Salisbury-Ocean City, MD; Scripps Rock KICT (T95) & Classic Rock KFXJ (104.5 The Fox)/Wichita; and Cumulus Active Rock WXZZ/Lexington, KY, to name a few.
“I’m excited to have Mike and Johnny join our Eagle team,” said Cagle, Operations Manager of SummitMedia Louisville. “They both bring years of experience and great energy, and are a perfect fit for The Eagle.”
Rowe remarked, “This opportunity has been a long time coming. I’m very excited to work with SummitMedia to help shake Louisville up.” Maze added, “I’m also looking forward to working with The Eagle and SummitMedia and taking advantage of the Bourbon Trail and betting on horses.”
