Moving Day At Entercom San Diego
• Entercom San Diego announced some significant on-air changes at Classic Hits KXSN (Sunny 98.1) and AC 96.5 KYXY — let’s start in morning drive, where, after nearly a year in mornings on Sunny 98.1, married morning duo Rob & Joss Taylor are moving back across the hall to mornings on KYXY. You may recall that the Taylors previously spent 13 years in mornings on Amaturo Sonoma Media Group Country KFGY (Froggy 92.9)/Santa Rosa, CA before making the major leap to KYXY/San Diego in Feb. 2019. They moved over to Sunny 98.1 a year later.
Concurrent with the return of Rob & Joss to mornings on KYXY, market vet Dorothy Tran moves back to middays and Sherry Knight returns to nights. But wait! There’s more! Sunny 98.1 fills out its on-air staff with lineup with talent from Classic Hits sister KRTH (K-Earth 101)/Los Angeles, most notably San Diego market veteran Greg Simms, who picks up mornings on Sunny 98.1 in addition to his regular afternoon drive shift on K-Earth. KRTH midday personality Lara Scott and night jock Larry Morgan annex those same dayparts on Sunny 98.1, while Joe Rosati remains in afternoons.
