Myki Upped To Middays, 98 Rock/Sacto
• Audacy has promoted Myki Angeline from weekends to full-time midday host at Mainstream Rock KRXQ (98 Rock)/Sacramento. She replaces national talent Carlota and succeeds market legend Pat Martin, who formerly held the position for a remarkable 33 years before crossing the hall to do mornings on Classic Rock sister KSEG (96.9 The Eagle) two years ago.
“It’s an exciting time at KRXQ as we welcome Myki to middays,” said Aaron Roberts, Brand Manager of 98 Rock. “We look forward to adding her to our live and local programming lineup and watching her connect with our listeners every day.”
Angeline’s professional career spans television, movies and radio, joining Audacy in 2020. She was featured in the films Mamaboy and Ball Buster, and she hosted the political television, Soapbox TV! for Access Sacramento. Her radio career began in 2011 at V103 Rock, an online underground rock station.
Between being a mom, producer, singer, public speaker and journalist, Myki also volunteers at the non-profit organization Girls Rock Sacramento, teaching self-defense during the summer camps, and in 2021 she became a board member. In 2022, Myki was presented with the She Rocks “Warrior” Award for her outstanding work and philanthropy during the She Rocks Awards in Anaheim, CA.
“I am absolutely grateful for this opportunity,” Myki said. “I love Sacramento and everyone here at Audacy. Knowing I’m continuing the legacy that Pat Martin built here at 98 Rock, I’m honored to carry this torch, representing the Filipinx and LGBTQ+ communities.”
