New Knoxville Jock The Real McCoy
• Scripps Top 40 Rhythmic WKHT (Hot 104.5)/Knoxville is bringing in a seasoned west coast veteran to do nights — say hello to Cain McCoy, who for the past three years has been doing weekends at iHeartMedia’s KGGI/Riverside, and was a board op/producer for Ryan Seacrest‘s morning show at KIIS-FM/Los Angeles.
Hot 104.5 PD Joey Tack tells RAMP, “I’m thrilled to bring Cain on board for nights on Hot 104.5! He’s a radio nerd who understands the CHR/Rhythm listener and lifestyle. We’re excited to get him on the air!”
RAMP caught up with McCoy, who told us, “I’ve grown weary of fixing LeBron murals, so I’m taking my talents to Knoxville. I’m incredibly excited to be joining Hot 104.5! I’ve admired Joey Tack from afar and I can’t wait to learn under his tutelage. Special shouts to Kid Jay Wagers, Beata Murphy, John Ivey and everyone at iHeartMedia Riverside/Los Angeles who have helped me become a better radio personality and content producer. It’s been a journey. Nothing in life is promised and may not go the way you originally think, but if you work hard enough you WILL manifest your dreams into reality.
