Nicole Segues From Indy To Houston
Radio One has arranged a sweet transfer for company vet Keisha Nicole, who is packing for an upward move from the MD/afternoon spot on Rhythmic WHHH (Hot 96.3)/Indianapolis to fill the midday show on Rhythmic sibling KBXX (97.9 The Box)/Houston. Terri Thomas, Operations Manager of Radio One Houston said of Nicole, “We fell in love with her energy and infectious personality, we knew she was the right fit for our team and Houston!”
Prior to joining WHHH in February 2015, Nicole worked at Alpha Media Urban WGZB (B96.5)/Louisville and she started her career at KDAY in her hometown of Los Angeles. Nicole has also appeared on BET’s Centric Culture List and she was the Indianapolis anchor for Dish Nation. Gary Spurgeon, VP/GM of Radio One Houston remarked, “We’re excited to have Keisha as a part of the 97.9 The Box team. It’s always rewarding to see growth and opportunity within the company.” Nicole succeeds JJ, who left to pursue her dreams of entrepreneurship.
