Norfolk Wakes Up With Cash & Carly
• Max Media Country WGH-FM (97.3 The Eagle)/Norfolk just introduced its new wake-up show — Eagle Mornings with Cash & Carly is hosted by the newly minted on-air duo of Cash Warren and Carly Quinn.
Warren (left) comes from Alpha Media Country KGNC/Amarillo, TX, while Ms. Quinn (right) most recently worked at Cumulus Classic Rock WYFM (Y103) & Country WQXK (K105)/Youngstown, OH. “I’ve rarely met talent like Cash & Carly,” said Jason Addams, Brand Manager of 97.3 The Eagle. “They’re not just fun, funny people; they’re good people with a passion for serving the community. I’m thrilled that they have joined 97.3 The Eagle.”
Warren was raised in southern New Mexico and his radio career included prior stops in New Mexico and Texas. Quinn was born and raised in Pittsburgh. After years as a flight attendant, Carly called the request line of her local radio station and they hired her! She went on to morning radio adventures in Pennsylvania, Arkansas and Ohio.
Warren commented, “My wife, Ronnie and I are super excited to bring our family to Hampton Roads. We’re looking forward to spending many summers at the beach, eating a ton of great seafood and going to a bunch of awesome concerts! I’m so honored to be on the Eagle morning show. We’re gonna have a whole lotta fun.” Quinn remarked, “My husband Jeff and I are looking forward to many years here in the Hampton Roads area! What an exciting place, full of energy and kind, hospitable people! Can’t wait to meet everyone and make new lifelong friends.”
The debut of Cash & Carly means that Karen West can now return to her regular midday shift. She had been filling in on mornings since January, when former PD Mark McKay left. McKay had temporarily moved up from afternoons to mornings after former morning host Sean “Coop” Tabler last November to co-host mornings on Entercom’s WTDY/Philadelphia.
