Philly Ready For Its Nightly Nugget

• iHeartMedia Top 40 WIOQ (Q102)/Philadelphia announced that Sam “Nugget” Dababneh will join the station as its new 7-midnight personality, effective August 2. The shift had been tracked by iHeart personality Raph, based at KIIS-FM/Los Angeles, who, as we reported yesterday, is returning to the Army National Guard fill-time.

Nugget returns to America after a three-year stint doing mornings halfway around the world at Radio 1 in Dubai. He previously co-hosted mornings at KTFM/San Antonio and WHBQ/Memphis. Earlier stops include KHTT (106.9 K-Hits)/Tulsa, OK, the former WNOW/New York and WJFX & WHPP/Ft. Wayne, IN. Originally from Detroit, Nugget got his start at iHeartMedia’s WKQI (Channel 955).

“Nugget’s personality is incredibly charismatic and we’re certain he’ll bring a level of excitement to nights on Q102,” said PD/afternoon co-host Brandon “Buster” Satterfield. “Not only will his show round out an already stacked lineup in our daily programming, but the market will embrace Nugget’s humor every weeknight.”

A clearly energized Nugget said, “Q102 is legendary, and I can’t wait to join the team. I’m ready to show Philly what I’ve got. Working with Buster is exciting and I’m sure we’re going to make some noise. Big thank you to iHeartRadio for giving me this opportunity.”
