Pros In Motion
• There’s been a high-profile drivetime jock-swap at Steel City Media’s KBEQ (Q104)/Kansas City — after an 18-month run as a member of The Morning Drive, 18-year station vet TJ McEntire will return to her original afternoon drive slot. Effective March 27, McEntire (left) will switch dayparts with current pm driver Mike Kellar, who will become the newest cast member of The Morning Drive, plugging in across from current co-hosts Zeke Montana and Jillian Gregg.
You may recall that Ms. McEntire moved from afternoons to mornings in September 2015 after former Mike Kennedy stepped down from his daily airshift. Kennedy retired at the end of 2016 after a successful 40-year radio career. Commenting on these major moves, Q104 PD Todd Nixon commented, “TJ McEntire is a Kansas City radio treasure and will now be back in afternoons where she ruled for years, and excited to have Mike Kellar begin the next evolution of The Morning Drive!”
