Terrell Ready To Wake Up Huntsville
• Congrats to Toni Terrell, PD and longtime midday personality on Cumulus Urban AC 94.1 WHRP/Huntsville, AL, who on May 3 will make some station history by moving up to anchor morning drive as the host of Toni Terrell with T. Mill in the Morning show, alongside newcomer Timothy “T. Mill” Miller, who makes the switch from public and digital radio.
“The decision was made during March, Women’s History Month, which felt empowering since there are so many barriers that we still have yet to break, even in the 21 Century, especially for women of color,” said Terrell, a 30-year radio vet, also known as “Your Best Girlfriend.” She added, “I hope this move will inspire the up and coming to pursue more demanding roles in business.”
It was concurrently announced that Cumulus Huntsville Promotions Director P. Frazier, a.k.a. DJ Chocolate (left), will take over middays as host of Chocolate’s Midday Vibe, weekdays from 10am-2pm.
“WHRP has always been amazingly involved in the Huntsville community and sought out every opportunity to give back to our community,” said VP/Market Manager John Lewis. “We at Cumulus Huntsville are excited about making WHRP even more local and engaged by airing the only live and local urban radio show in the mornings! Toni and T.
