US99/Chicago Launches New AM Show
• We strongly hinted at this news last week, and now, via the magic of a corporately sanctioned press release, it’s official — Entercom Country WUSN (US99)/Chicago just introduced its newly minted morning team — radio and record industry veteran (and Chicago native) Katie Bright and major market pro Jason Pullman will join forces to wake up the Windy City, aided by contributions from market vet Erin, weekdays from 5:30-10am CT, beginning August 8. They will succeed previous morning duo Stylz & Roman (Doug “Stylz” Bobrowski and Justin Roman), who exited in May.
“We are thrilled to welcome this talented team to US99,” said Jimmy de Castro, SVP/Market Manager, Entercom Chicago. “The team will bring country music fans an entertaining and informative live, local show that is built for Chicagoland.”
Bright (left) joins Entercom after seven years with Warner Music Nashville, where she served as the National Director of Radio & Streaming Promotion. The move marks Bright’s second stint with US99 — she previously worked in sales. Her radio career began at WAXX/Eau Claire, WI, and later, as a member of the former House Foundation at WSIX/Nashville, helmed by the legendary Jerry House. “I’m excited to make the transition back into radio,” said Bright. “I can’t wait to start out my mornings with Jason and Erin on the air.”
Pullman (center) spent the past decade doing mornings on iHeartMedia Country WUBL (94.9 The Bull)/Atlanta until January of this year. Before that he did afternoons at Alternative sister KYSR (ALT 98.7)/Los Angeles. He also served as voice-over talent for CBS-TV, as well as for brands like Chili’s and Expedia. Pullman also appeared on TLC’s Faking It, ABC Family’s Perfect Match and has been heard on national promos for numerous media outlets including CBS, ABC, FX and TBS. “I look forward to getting to work with Katie and Erin to create a show that brings the country fans of Chicago a consistent home for their morning commutes,” said Pullman. “I want to bring realness, authenticity, kindness and genuineness to the audience with this new show. I want people to feel comfortable listening and to consider us a part of their family.”
Erin (right), also a Chicago native, joined Entercom in 2018 as the Lead Promotions Coordinator for US99 and sister WBMX (104.3 JAMS). She’s already familiar to Chicago listeners as US99’s resident Bachelor expert. “I’m thrilled to begin this new role and I’m thankful to Entercom for giving me this opportunity,” said Erin. “I look forward to learning from my new co-hosts and expanding my career with US99.”
