WRKO/Boston Adds Curley & Kelly
• iHeartMedia News-Talk WRKO/Boston has added Grace Curley and Jesse Kelly to its on-air plans for 2021 — effective January 4, Curley will broadcast weekday afternoons from 12:15-3pm, and The Jesse Kelly Show will run from 10pm-1am until Feb. 15, when it moves up into the 7-10pm timeslot.
“I am ecstatic for this huge opportunity to host a Talk radio show and offer my perspective on politics, pop culture and more,” said Curley (left), who is also the longtime Executive Producer of the Boston-based Howie Carr Show and a Boston Herald contributing columnist. “Over the last six years, I’ve been mentored by one of the best in the business, and I look forward to putting the skills I’ve learned from Howie Carr to the test and creating a show that is interesting, unique and entertaining.”
Described as “unfiltered and unapologetic,” Jesse Kelly is a U.S. Marine and a former candidate for Congress. “Everyone in radio knows about the greatness of WRKO and wants to be there,” said Kelly. “I’m honored to be here. And I’m sure they’re honored to have me since I’m such a huge important celebrity with a superior brain and community college credits.”
Rob Sanchez, VP of News, Talk & Sports for iHeartMedia Boston, commented, “We’re excited about the addition of Grace and Jesse to WRKO’s lineup. Their talents compliment the established success of Jeff Kuhner in the morning and the legendary Howie Carr in afternoons.”
