WTMJ/Milwaukee Debuts New Line-up
Scripps News-Talk WTMJ/Milwaukee recently debuted its new 2017 on-air lineup — in the wake of the recent retirement of 23-year station fixture Charlie Sykes (now an MSNBC contributor), midday host Jeff Wagner has moved into the 8:30am-noon slot as beloved WTMJ alumnus John Jagler returns to the station for a special interim engagement to host WTMJ Today from noon-3pm weekdays, plugged in across from Erik Bilstad. Jagler famously hosted Wisconsin’s Morning News with Gene Mueller until 2010. He now serves as a Representative for Wisconsin’s 37th State Assembly District.
Commenting on these changes, Tom Langmyer, VP/GM of WTMJ & WKTI and VP of Radio News, Talk & Sports Programming, for The E.W. Scripps Company said, “WTMJ listeners love Jeff Wagner’s program. His personality engages our audience on the many issues and the big stories of the day. In addition, we are excited to welcome back an old friend in John Jagler. John will appear in the interim until we announce our permanent midday host.”
