‘The Name’s Babb… Zakk Babb…’

• Entercom Indianapolis has named Zakk Babb as the new afternoon drive jock/Imaging Director on Top 40 WZPL. Mr. Babb relocates from sister WSTR (Star 94.1)/Atlanta, where he has been doing nights — a job he will continue to do via the miracle of this newfangled voicetracking technology. He succeeds Chase Daniels, who late last year transferred to the OM position at Entercom Madison.

Indianapolis OM JR Ammons said, “This deal is has literally been months in the making. I first met with Zakk in August of last year… and finally — we got him! As excited as I am about this new era, Zakk’s got some big shoes to fill. Over the last three years, Chase has grown pm drive on ZPL into the highest-rated daypart in Indy.” In other words… no pressure!
