Washington Half Of New Odd Couple
• FOX Sports Radio (FSR), a division of Premiere Sports Network announced the addition of veteran sports reporter and Emmy Award-winning Spectrum News 1 SoCal host/anchor Kelvin Washington as the new co-host of the nationally-syndicated The Odd Couple, alongside FSR’s Rob Parker. The Odd Couple airs weeknights from 7-10pm ET on more than 350 stations.
Washington (left), who debuts on Sept. 16, will succeed Chris Broussard, who announced his decision to leave the program to focus on his TV duties with FS1. His final radio broadcast will be Friday, Sept. 13. Along with his new gig, Washington will continue to anchor Your Morning on Spectrum News 1, and host pre- and post-game coverage of the Los Angeles Dodgers for SportsNet LA.
“I’m grateful to the folks at FOX Sports Radio for this tremendous opportunity,” said Washington. “I also want to thank Chris Broussard for his blessing. Rob and I have worked together in radio and TV over the years, and I’m confident we’ll continue the impressive legacy that the Odd Couple has created and make a name for ourselves!”
Parker remarked, “Chris has been an incredible partner, and he will be missed, but I look forward to continuing the tradition of The Odd Couple with Kelvin. I’ve known Kelvin for years and he’s a great fit. This show will continue to be fun and informative! Wake the kids and call the neighbors about this exciting new version of The Odd Couple.”
