Alexander Named Market Pres., iHeart Minneapolis
• iHeartMedia announced that Greg Alexander has been elevated to Market President for the company’s Minneapolis group — Top 40 KDWB, Country KEEY (K102), Hot AC KTCZ (Cities 97.1), Classic Hits KQQL (Kool 108), Sports-Talk KFXN (K-Fan), Urban Hot 102.5 (KTCZ-HD3/K273BH), Black Information Network (KQQL-HD2/W227BF) and News-Talk KTLK-AM 1130.
Alexander succeeds Jeff Tyler, who now leads iHeartMedia’s Madison and Milwaukee markets. Division President Scott Hopeck remarked, “Greg’s extensive experience qualified him for this role, but more importantly, his team lifted him into it, which is a testament to his leadership. I’m confident that Greg and his team will lead our Minneapolis operation to new heights.”
Alexander began his career with Interep National Radio Sales, quickly moving into a leadership role with Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS) in Miami-Ft. Lauderdale. He later joined iHeartMedia Miami as Director of National Sales and was later promoted to General Sales Manager. In 2012 Alexander transferred to Minneapolis to serve as SVP of Sales, and in 2016 his role expanded to oversee advertising efforts for the company’s Western Great Lakes Region, including Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Madison, Eau Claire and Rochester, MN.
“This is an incredible opportunity to work with some of the country’s best brands and the industry’s brightest minds,” said Alexander. “I look forward to collaborating with the programming, advertising, and operations teams while helping elevate the Minneapolis market.”
