Bloodworth Now Running iHeart Mid-South

• iHeartMedia announced that Ronnie Bloodworth has been elevated to Area President of the Mid-south Area, which encompasses some 58 radio stations in Alabama, Mississippi, and Memphis, TN. In his newly created position, Bloodworth will continue to oversee the Biloxi, Hattiesburg, Jackson, Laurel, Memphis, Mobile, Pensacola, and Tupelo markets while now adding oversight of all operations across the Birmingham, Gadsden, Huntsville, Montgomery, and Tuscaloosa, AL markets.

Bloodworth will continue to report to Division President Shosh Abromovich, who noted, “This is a very exciting announcement to bring these markets together; the alignment of these outstanding leaders, talent, teammates and communities are set up to truly flourish. Ronnie’s culture-first attitude, drive for success and high bar he sets for himself and his team will take this newly combined Area to all new levels of achievement and opportunity.”

Bloodworth is a 25-year media veteran who joined iHeartMedia in 1998. He initially oversaw the sales teams for the Mobile, AL market for 15 years before being elevated to Market President for Mobile, Biloxi and Pensacola. “Helping people identify their strengths, find their motivation and then achieve their goals is something I have enjoyed from Day 1,” said Bloodworth, who was was elected to the board of the Alabama Broadcasters Association. “Helping our teams in Mobile, Pensacola, Memphis and Mississippi find their stride and excel is something I take pride in.
