Bob & Tom Show How Local Is Done
• iHeartMedia’s WFBQ (Q95)/Indianapolis, the longtime flagship of The Bob & Tom Show, pulled off a one-of-a-kind live radio event brought together personality, music, and local businesses, driving home the power of local radio, and reinforcing the effectiveness of live, personality-driven advertising.
During spot breaks, twelve different Indianapolis-area advertisers were featured in a live commercial, accompanied by musicians and singers from The Bob & Tom Show band. Watch a few live client reads HERE.
Each business received a custom musical jingle, written and produced by Bob & Tom host Tom Griswold(right) and his network of musicians and comedy writers. The event combined client/station camaraderie with a unique on-air experience. Griswold said, “This allows local businesses to both have fun with radio advertising and then see the real results that follow when creative thinking is applied to focus on their product or service.”
Also attending the event was RAB CEO Mike Hulvey, who praised the innovative format as “a model for how radio can remain fresh, fun, and deeply connected to the communities it serves.”
The twelve featured Central Indiana advertisers also received a professionally produced video and audio recording of their performance to use in future marketing.
