Brian Sines Comes Home To Leighton
• Following a decade of service with Townsquare Media, most recently as Regional Market President for Cedar Rapids-Waterloo, IA, Brian Sines has returned to the company where he started his four-decade career: Leighton Broadcasting, this time as GM of the company’s Winona, MN group — Classic Hits KRIV (101.1 The River), Top 40 KGSL (KG95.3), News-Talk KWNO-AM (1230 & 98.7), Sports-Talk KWNM (Winona Sports Network 99.3), and Classic Country KHWK-AM 1380.
Sines shared the news of his return to Leighton in a LinkedIn post, that reads, in part, So, now it’s time to go back where it all started. On Wednesday [July 5] I begin my next adventure as the General Manager of the Leighton Broadcasting stations in Winona, Minnesota. This the company I started with 43 years ago under my original mentor, Al Leighton. I am excited to now work for his son Bob and the amazing team they have built. Busy weekend of moving ahead… but always moving forward!”
During his decade with Townsquare, Sines spent the first five years as Director of Sales for the company’s Cedar Rapids, IA group. In August 2019 he was named Market President & Chief Revenue Officer for the Townsquare’s Texarkana, TX cluster, followed by a subsequent transfer to the same position for the company’s radio stations in Lafayette and Lake Charles, LA. He spent the past year back in Cedar Rapids.
