Deskins Comes Home To iHeartMedia
• iHeartMedia has named Chuck Deskins, Jr.as Senior Vice President of Inside Sales. In his new role, Deskins will manage iHeartMedia’s team of Inside Sellers and Managers and create advertising opportunities for brands and iHeartMedia partners across the company’s vast array of platforms including radio broadcasting, digital, mobile, outdoor, live concerts and events and more.
Deskins (left) brings over 30 years of sales experience to the team, most recently as a partner at C3 Media advertising agency. Deskins began his career as an AE for Jacor Broadcasting in Cincinnati and moved to their Tampa market in 1992. He remained with the company when it was purchased by Clear Channel and rose to Director of Sales. After 14 years in Tampa, Deskins was named Market President of iHeartMedia Atlanta in 2006. He later served as Director of Sales for iHeartMedia Miami from 2008-2009 and VP of Sales for iHeartMedia Tampa from 2009-2014. His recent experience also includes a stint as owner/publisher of Coastal Angler Magazineand as a partner at the Advantage Marketing advertising agency.
Deskins will be based in St. Petersburg, FL and reports to James Donovan, Executive Vice President of Inside Sales for iHeartMedia, who commented, “iHeartMedia Inside Sales is poised for significant growth under Chuck’s leadership.
