Executive Action Inside iHeart LA

• iHeartMedia Los Angeles announced several key leadership promotions — (Pictured, l-r): Jeff Thomas, a 26-year iHeart veteran, has been elevated to EVP of Sales and Business Development for Los Angeles. He will continue to lead sales, while now also overseeing iHeart LA’s Local News Talk Endorsement Network and iHeartCX, iHeart’s retail in-store radio network. Thomas will report directly to Division President Paul Corvino, who remarked, “We’ve seamlessly linked the top News-Talk hosts in the country into one easy-to-buy network, offering network scale in local markets. In addition, iHeart CX gives retailers best-in-class music programming along with ad campaigns that will make their in-store media budgets even more efficient.  Jeff has an impressive track record in the LA market, and I can’t think of a better person to lead this effort and create new revenue opportunities.”

It was concurrently announced that Adam Wolfson has been elevated to SVP of Sales, Tracy Barrios is upped to SVP of Operations for Los Angeles, and Julie Martzke is promoted to SVP of National and Event Sales for Los Angeles. Wolfson has been with iHeartMedia LA for four years and has more than 15 years of industry experience in leadership positions with Audacy and Cox Media Group in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and New York. Barrios just completed her 30th year with iHeart, rising through the ranks in traffic, revenue management, and most recently as VP of Sales Operations. Martzke’s history with iHeart spans 14 years, as she has successfully overseen top iHeart brands such as KIIS-FM, KOST 103, & KBIG (104.3 MYfm).

Thomas commented, “I’m grateful for the opportunity to lead two additional growth areas for iHeart while continuing my leadership role within the market. With Adam and our veteran sales leadership team at the helm, I expect to provide even more innovation and high-level service for our advertisers. Adam is a true people leader and has the forward-thinking mindset to grow our business and build success for marketers.”

Speaking of Barrios, Corvino said, “Tracy is one of the best problem solvers I have ever worked with and understands our brands, day-to-day market operations and the sales process inside and out. Giving Tracy the opportunity to paint with a broader brush and impact our division more holistically is a no-brainer.”

Commenting on Martzke’s enhanced role, Thomas said, “Julie has an unprecedented track record for leading teams to success and has a passion for experiential partnerships, and we’re excited to see her thrive in this new role.”
